01 Exhibition Introduction

The Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition, sponsored by the Import and Export Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and undertaken by the Vietnam Logistics Association, aims to promote the exhibition and exchange of international logistics technology in Vietnam in the post-epidemic era. The Vietnam Logistics Exhibition is an important gateway for international companies to enter the Vietnamese market and for Vietnamese companies to enter the global market, seizing opportunities brought about by the government's trade facilitation policies and post-COVID-19 economic growth stimulus measures, providing a platform for industry companies to exchange information and grasp new trends. The organizer, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, will publicize and promote the exhibition through direct invitations, magazines, TV media, press conferences, industry associations and other channels, and is expected to attract more than 10,000 buyers from logistics, food, medicine, manufacturing, electronics, textiles and other industries.

At the same time, the exhibition will also hold the Vietnam Food and Beverage Exhibition, with the participation of more than 500 food and beverage manufacturers from 18 countries and regions, and these exhibitors are also the end customers of logistics exhibitors, opening up the upstream and downstream of the logistics supply chain, providing more opportunities for exhibitors to cooperate.

03 Market Analysis

Logistics plays an important role in promoting Vietnam's economic development and is also an important link for Vietnam to join the global economic value chain. In recent years, Vietnam's logistics industry has grown rapidly, with an annual growth rate of 14%-16%, and the size of the logistics industry is about 40 billion US dollars. According to the World Bank's assessment, Vietnam's logistics services ranked 39th out of 160 countries in the world in 2018, rising to 28th in 2021. According to the United Nations, China is the largest importer of goods from Vietnam's logistics industry, with the trade volume of logistics products imported from China to Vietnam reaching $750 million in 2020.

Over the past few years, the retail market has developed rapidly as organized retail or modern shopping continues to grow nationwide in Vietnam. The growing middle class and young population in Vietnam and the booming tourism industry have attracted many international brands, thus driving the demand for logistics and warehousing services in Vietnam. Currently, the industrial-retail freight sector dominates the entire warehousing market in Vietnam, and the rise of the industrial retail sector in Vietnam has increased the demand for warehousing in the country, mainly due to the expansion of modern food retail enterprises to meet consumer demand, which in turn has led to increased storage demand for processed packaged food and beverages.

The logistics and warehousing market in Vietnam is dominated by the southern region, which has major economic zones dedicated to the development of commerce, exports, technology, services and telecommunications. The southern region includes Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Pati Tau Tau, Dong Nai, Sinh Ninh and Binh Phuc
